This is a short review on the airsoft KTWs spring powered Flintlock replica pistol. Potted history: The original real steel Flintlock pistol was presented to President George Washington and was made by the then premier gun maker Hawkins of London. It fired a musket ball shot by having the barrel charge of black powder ignited through a hole in the side of the barrel leading to an initial primer pan of, again, black powder which inturn was ignited first by the ‘flint’ held in the unfortunately named ‘cock’ (hammer) which struck the striker/pan cover thus creating sparks. It was an improved amalgamation between the wheel lock and match lock guns. History tells that these pistols were ment for horse back riders as they are to cubbersome and heavy for a hip holster. The large siver embossed butt plate was used if you had fired your single shot and missed, which was very often the case, and had to defend yourself by hitting your assilant with it. The airsoft replica: KTW who seem to like making odd replica firearms, have really done a nice job on this particular gun. Its a good representation of the original and is a worthy wall hanger for collectors and airsofters alike. That said airsofters be warned its fps are wayyy below whats needed for a good skirmish gun, coming in at 176fps at the muzzel. The accuracy is not the best and range is appalling at just over 25ft before the BBs drop like stones. Its a tad on the delicate and flimsey side aswell, for if you drop this beauty …

looks great for a replica.
@watertakken
Its not bad, but up close it suffers from poor detailing and mold lines.
Someone should make an airsoft Jaeger/Kentucky rifle or something, gas powered, I’d like it to release a large amount of gas from the front so it looks like black powder, lol. That’s something I’d buy.
i challenge you to a dual good sir.
lol
