I got this gun a few days ago and haven’t been able to put it down. The accuracy is quite amazing, once the sights and hop up have been adjusted. Indoors from close range (20-30 feet) you can place shots with complete precision. Outdoors and at longer range becomes slightly more complicated (especially when wind is a factor), however, at 40-50yards I was able (after a few range finding shots) to hit a 2′ square target. The gun is very powerful, and does leave significant welts from close range, and breaks skin from point blank. However, clothing greatly dissipates the force, to the point where you still feel the shot, but aren’t marked. The gun seems to be very sturdy (apart from the sling holders which are rather flimsy plastic) and all the parts of the firing mechanism are metal, which is good since it takes significant force to cock. The real M14 was used primarily for sniping, and this replica certainly lives up to that standard.

The gun is made of sturdy plastic, and it just feels great to hold. Accuracy is also a plus with this rifle, but I would recommend you only use .2 BBs.. The .12s that come with the gun turn to curve alot, but a .2BB loadout fixes that problem.
The sling attachments don’t feel as flimsy as everyone below says they are, which was one of my primary concerns, but chances are if you are airsofting this thing will rarely be slinged onto your back.
I also found that cocking the gun wasn’t as difficult as people below said it was (maybe its just me) but overall this is a fantastic gun for those starting the sport.
I’ll eventually get my hands on a battery operated m14, but until then.. This is quite possibly one of the more reliable guns you can get at this price.

I bought this gun about a week ago, a WOW i was impressed. When i took it out of the box it looks really reliable and sturdy. I loaded it up and took a shot. It has amazing accuracy! With a little tinkering w/ the hop up i got it to where i could shoot a can at 30 feet away. And it HURTS. I broke my friends skin at 20 feet away. It is a great gun.
Pros-More than i can list
realistic feel
sturdy
accurate
great mag capacity
Cons-Very Few
heavy
Tactical rail blocks sights
Well, if you are considering buying this gun, dont go back. It is the best airsoft gun i have bought yet. One problem though, i am not yet able to find extra mags for this gun. So, if anyone finds one, please email me @ the_emster_5@hotmail.com
Thanx VB for making a great product.

I recently purchased this item. The sellar was prompt and it arrived within a few days. The quality of this gun is great, but since its made out of heavy duty materials the weight is a definite factor. This is neither a small gun nor a light one, but it makes up for it with accuracy (the sights are ajustable) and power. The velocity of bbs is really high. I was shooting at cardboard targets and it was punching through the first layer of cardboard from about 20′ away. The only concerns I have are that the strap clips are the least sturdy, and I expect those to break first, and the tip of the gun is a lighter plastic, so it is important to be careful when swinging the rifle around. This is definately a gun for outdoor use and not in small corridors.

A perspective buyer of this gun would find it very useful to understand a couple of hidden details about this m14 airsoft rifle.
First of all, the Hop-up system is enourmously powerful. Unless you have .25g (or heavier) BB’s, you can expect to be laying down the law a couple of stories above your target. Even with adjusting the Hop-up as low as possible, you will get a bit of kick-up with .25g BB’s.
Next, the instructions that arrive with the m14 give directions for cleaning the gun that indicate parts like special oil, ramrod and a cleaning cloth that don’t arrive with the gun. The gun does not come with a shoulder strap. Also, here is no address, phone number, or web address for you to contact the manufacturer since it is made in China.
In conclusion, I find this gun to be decent quality. I have had difficulty finding the right weight of BB to use, and have consequently encountered a reasonable amount of inconsistency with rounds fired from any distance over 20 ft. A buyer should be prepared to spend a couple of hours calibrating before taking it off to the battlefield.
